Levi Frye’s Life and Career

Levi grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School. He pursued his love for wildlife by earning a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine, where he also competed on the varsity cross-country and track teams. It was during his time at university that he met Shannon, the love of his life. After college, Levi undertook a professional hunting internship in Botswana and South Africa, a highlight of his career that he was immensely proud of and hoped to return to one day.

In 2018, Levi was sworn in as a Conservation Officer after graduating from the 175th New Hampshire Police Academy, where he earned the highest academic standing in his class. Over his seven years with the department, Levi patrolled Hillsborough and Coos counties and became an integral member of the Advanced Search and Rescue and Honour Guard teams. He also served as a Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, and Administrator of Physical Agility Tests.

Levi was known for his skill, patience, and dedication to his work, which earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious NH Congressional Law Enforcement Award and the NECLECA Officer of the Year Award in 2023. Despite these achievements, Levi remained humble, often describing his accomplishments as simply “doing my job.” He was deeply committed to protecting New Hampshire’s natural resources and ensuring that future generations could enjoy the state’s wildlife.

Levi was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, and exploring nature. He had a natural connection with animals, a love that he shared with his young son.
